STAGE ACCESS: THEATRE WORKSHOPS
Power Productions is proud to partner with Easter Seals NL to offer theatre workshops throughout the year. Workshop sessions usually last 8-10 weeks in the fall, winter and spring.
Our next session of workshops running, until the end of January 2020, have been filled. We will be offering workshops again in the spring of 2020. If you would like to be kept updated on our happenings please email us and we'll add you to our mailing list.
Stage Access gives participants an introductory experience in performing for the stage. Over the course of these workshops participants explore physical movement, areas of the stage, voice, improvisation, character exploration, working from a script and what goes into being part of a production. The series concludes with a public performance by participants. The motivation for the public performance is to showcase emerging artist to our arts community - including directors. Workshop participation is for those aged 16+.
This series of workshops is inclusive to all levels of experience and all types of abilities. While anyone is welcome, we will be focusing on providing experience to people who self identify as living with a disability – seen or unseen.
Workshops will be led by Power Productions’ Artistic Director, Paul David Power, along with a series of guest professional artists from our local arts community.
